Unless explicitly stated, these photos have been taken in western Serbia, near the town of Valjevo. Climate is temperate continental (hot summers, cold and snowy winters). Altitude is from 200 to more than 1300 m above sea level. Natural ground cover is mostly oak (Quercus petraea, Quercus frainetto, Quercus cerris) and beech (Fagus silvestris) forest, with some conifers and other broadleaf species.
